The Lodge

The East Kootenay mountains are blessed with some of the most rugged and beautiful scenery in all of British Columbia.  Whiteswan Lake Outfitters lodges and cabins are part of this great scenery.

 

Our cabins are situated near the White River with 4 private hunter cabins and a roomy main lodge.  The cabins are comfortable and sleep up to 4 hunters with wood stoves.  The main lodge has a large living space with plenty of room to stretch out and relax.  The lodge is equipped with exceptional satellite internet, so hunters can feel free to call home to family. In the warmer weather there is a fully modern bathhouse with flush toilets and running hot water. In the colder weather hunters need to go into the main lodge for those amenities.

 

Meals served at the main lodge are always home cooked, served fresh and hot.  You will be sure to enjoy a nice hot cup of cowboy coffee and home-made pies! There hasn’t been a hunter to go home skinny from our camp.

 

Outpost camps have a more rugged atmosphere; however, hunters still enjoy their own privacy in cabins that sleep 2 hunters with wood stoves.  Your guide will cook prepared meals for you in a smaller version of main lodge. The dehydrated food we use for outposts is Peak Refuel, we find their quality next to none.

 

Quite often game at higher elevations such as bighorn sheep and mountain goat will require backpacking.  Guides will be working hard to bring you safety to where game has been spotted.  Wall tents or backpack tents will be used in areas this remote.
